As an author and screenwriter, LaCosta is addicted to allegory. Everything is a story, a miracle metaphor that portrays the wonder of God’s heart. He won't like to spell it out.

In the Old Testament book of Esther, the word "God" never appears. Yet, He is written between every line. People don’t want to be preached to in literature or the performing arts. They want to be shown God through choices. And the characters that I create have to choose sides: they either want God or they choose reject His goodness. All of this must be set in way that doesn't detract from the larger story of God and His marching timeline.
